The phrase came from a post I made about telling stories and the tenses you need in order to say what someone else said....In case you're new to the subjunctive mood, and especially the preterit subjunctive, it's exactly equal to use fueses in place of fueras. It's a little trick that you can use to make your speech less repetitive:¿No quieres vestirte como si fueras modelo o por lo menos como si fueses rico?
