An important caveat: This might be a source of confusion. The sentence, as it is written, means "How much does it cost to send a letter in Germany, please?" - the speaker could be, say in the US, and he is asking for the price in Germany. If you want to say "How much does it cost to send a letter to Germany?", you would say "¿Cuánto cuesta mandar una carta a Alemania?".Personally, I would normally ommit "para": "¿Cuánto cuesta mandar una carta a Alemania, por favor?".Finally, notice that Alemania is Germany, whereas Spain is España.Hope this helps!Regards to all from a native Spanish speaker!
